So the internet is still being a little turkey, and at the moment I have no way to upload photos. Ahhh! It feels so strange to have a "blank" post. But I did want to stop by and remind you about yesterday's post. Several of you gals have messaged/commented with ideas for how to make your home more luxurious without the luxurious cost :)
And I still want your help! I am asking you to share your favorite ways to make your home feel like a fancy-schmancy hotel or spa? Or what do you love the most about those delightful places but have not recreated in your home? Let me know and I'll try to scheme up an idea for how to make those luxuries at home for an affordable price.
In the next few weeks I would like to post your ideas and some solutions to those "wants." So comment below and lets get those creative juices flowing!
What do I like about fancy hotels? Well the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in was the Ritz-Carlton (back in my working days). It had super fluffy towels, great smelling hand soap/lotions, really nice pillows and I loved the little ice bucket/drinking glass tray that was set up.
ReplyDeleteI'm more for B&B's than fancy hotels (although, I'll take whatever I can get, lol!). I love the personal touches...the mints on the pillow, the baskets of fresh muffins, the gourmet coffee. I also love the little baskets of sample size soaps, shampoos, and nice creams.
ReplyDeleteI guess what I love most about those places is being pampered. And somehow that's my job at home--to pamper others. :-) That's awesome, and I love it, but it means that I don't get the pampering unless we go to one of those fancy-shmancy places.
I guess I'm not much help, am I?? ;-)

ReplyDeleteHi Emily,
ReplyDeleteI just want to invite you to my first-ever DI4Y linky party this Thursday! I'm asking folks to link up a project that was created out of love for someone else. It can be simple or grand just as long as it is from the heart!, I hope to see you Thursday! You can find out more at my blog, A Lovely Place to Land or at our new website, www.thedi4yproject.com
Thanks!
